About Us - Heather

Heather was born and raised in Canton, OH.  She graduated from Perry High School in Massillon, OH in 1999, attended Anderson University in Anderson, IN from 1999-2000, and finished her Bachelor's Degree in History at Malone University in Canton, OH in December 2002.

Heather's work experience is diverse and extensive: from sales, medical reception and billing, to legal contracts and negotiation in the staffing industry as well as the world of ethics and compliance, and currently putting her education and experience to the asset in the role of Audit Support at Tax Management Associates in Charlotte, NC; Heather is well-versed in all aspects of customer relations, contract negotiation, tax and auditing services, and building lasting relationships and networking connections.

Heather and Todd met at church in 2001 and were married in March 2003.  They moved from Ohio to Charlotte, NC in September 2006.  Heather's upbringing was similar to Todd's in that their families instilled the same values and ethics to help mold us into mature and capable adults.  Heather has always grown up with animals in her life... from hamsters to gerbils, to chinchillas and rabbits, fish, kittens, and dogs, Heather is no stranger to a variety of animals.  Being fairly small of stature, she's proven that she can handle some of the strongest breeds of dog... our 80 lb. Boxer, Mocha, can give me a run for my money at times, but I've learned techniques to make our walking experiences pleasant for both myself and Mocha.

I've always had a love and compassion for animals and I look forward to partnering with my husband in this exciting new business venture.  We're taking all of the necessary steps and precautions to make you feel as comfortable as possible with us; pets are an important part of your family and we fully understand that.  We want you to know that your pet is going to be in capable hands and under the best care possible while being serviced by Hog's Dogs.

Apart from her Audit Support position with Tax Management Associates, Heather is an aspiring author and blogger, and an active partner with Stealing Hollywood Ministries.  She enjoys baking and candy-making, time with family and friends, daily walks and exercise with Mocha, reading, writing, and actively participating as the Hospitality Coordinator and worship team member at Citylight Baptist Church.  She also adores naps, shopping, boots, handbags, traveling, and makeup artistry.
